Living in Leeds -the reality

Hey folks, Average temperature is around 64--F, so the weather is moderate. Poverty rate is 8.0%, which is pretty low. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Any help is appreciated. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Sunset. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in education. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Southern.

Hope this helps!.
