Hi all, Poverty rate is 12.5%, which is around average. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Anyone in a similar situation? The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Fairview. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in finance. If you're in education you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Asian.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The housing market is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
