Freelancing from Leesburg -experience?

I relocated for work and Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. With a population of 48,788, Leesburg is a smaller city. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. What are your go-to spots? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The walkability is genuinely solid and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Old Town) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Raleigh, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Portland it's excellent.
