Remote worker thinking about Leesburg

Longtime lurker here, Median household income is $140,668, which feels pretty solid for the area. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is surprisingly good in most areas.

I've lived in West for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good airport with direct flights
- The healthcare scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. No regrets on my end..

Weather-wise, the summers are average and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The pet-friendliness is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..

Used to live on the Greenfield side, now on the Lakewood side. Completely different vibe. I love the pace of life here.
