First post here. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in South. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in construction. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.
People: Generally improving. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like craft beer.
Definitely worth checking out..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Came here for weather and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The cost of living is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

We moved here with our family and the quality of life is solid. Schools in West area are solid. Kids love it here.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.

As someone who grew up here, it's been a really good experience overall. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much reasonable but now it's underrated.

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say I love the pace of life here. The dating scene is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..
