Is Leesylvania a good place to live?

Hello, Crime rate is something to consider -Leesylvania sits at 76.8 per 100K. Rent is about $2,278/month for a decent place. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Am I wrong here? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 11 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into running, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
