OK so Been living here since 2006. Median household income is $62,083, which feels about average for the area. With a population of 5,268, Lehighton is a small town. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Thanks in advance! There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from San Francisco about 3 years ago. The main reasons were family and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Decent public transit for the size

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are established, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Definitely worth checking out..
