I relocated for work and Poverty rate is 36.1%, which is higher than I expected. The median home value here is around $237,300, which is actually reasonable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What would you do? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I've lived in Eastside for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Active local events and festivals
- Close to major attractions
- The job market scene is pretty good
The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. No regrets on my end..

Bought a house here in 2016 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone down slightly since then.
