How is Leisure City for outdoor activities?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Median household income is $48,640, which feels on the lower side for the area. Rent is about $1,590/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $333,100, which seems about average. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Thoughts? Any help is appreciated. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in West for 9 years. Moved from Dallas for a job opportunity. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is excellent. We bought in 2020 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. The market is competitive but not impossible.

**Employment:**
marketing is strong here. consulting is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are stable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's not perfect but it works for me. The outdoor scene is underrated - we have lakes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. West schools are hit or miss. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited high-paying job options. Limited shopping options. And weather can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 6/10. Feel free to reach out with questions.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I'm a pharmacist and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community is decent and there's always something going on.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 4 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 14 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
