Leland vs Raleigh -which is better?

Born and raised here. It's a a smaller city city with about 26,307 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Leland sits at 96.5 per 100K. Household incomes average around $88,576 in Leland. You can expect to pay around $1,603 for rent here. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to.

Bought a house here in 2021 and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
