Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Denver about 4 years ago. The main reasons were school and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are growing, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want traffic, then yeah this place is great. But if food scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Hot take but I'm still on the fence after all this time. I know a lot of people disagree but after 3 years here, that's my honest assessment.

As someone who grew up here, I love the pace of life here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. food scene used to be much established but now it's solid.

I'm a project manager and I've found the quality of life is solid. The community is tough and there's always something going on.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to New York it's surprisingly good.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from LA about 12 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Winters are long and cold
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are pricey, gas is underrated.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Good luck with whatever you decide..
