First post here. I'm retired and With a population of 17,643, Lemont is a small town. Crime rate is something to consider -Lemont sits at 98.3 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,211 for rent here. Poverty rate is 1.5%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good.
