Random thought, I'm a 30-year-old data analyst and Crime rate is something to consider -Lemoore sits at 471.4 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,394 for rent here. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Used to live on the Maple Ridge side, now on the West side. Completely different vibe. it exceeded my expectations.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a writer who relocated here from New York about 14 years ago. The main reasons were work and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are stable, gas is average.
Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cost of living. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've lived in Oak Park for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure
- The walkability scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Dating scene is rough
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. No regrets on my end..

My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. No regrets on my end..
