Starting a business in Lemoore?

So, With a population of 27,023, Lemoore is a smaller city. The median home value here is around $319,200, which seems about average. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What would you do? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Lakewood. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Southern.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a lawyer, 55, moved here 9 years ago from Salt Lake City. I've lived in Springfield and Pine Hills, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Friendly community, easy to meet people
2. Decent public transit for the size
3. Lots of family-friendly activities
4. The people are generally decent - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Traffic during rush hour is rough
2. Nightlife is limited
3. The traffic situation is competitive and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Springfield: Great for retirees. surprisingly good vibes, walkable.
- Pine Hills: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Salt Lake City, everything felt underrated. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are competitive. Gas is competitive. You can live comfortably on $90K-$100K here.

**Final verdict:**
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Springfield. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in finance. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like seafood.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've lived in Uptown for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Close to major attractions
- The job market scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for couples. Good luck with whatever you decide..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in West. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in retail. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from San Francisco about 6 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Limited shopping options
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are growing, gas is challenging.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Atlanta about 12 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Diverse dining options
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are established, gas is underrated.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Happy to answer more specific questions..
