What I wish I knew before living in Lemoore

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a 39-year-old pharmacist and Household incomes average around $82,189 in Lemoore. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Am I overthinking this?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Seattle about 3 years ago. The main reasons were family and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons that are real:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are stable, gas is decent.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Hope this helps!.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Phoenix about 15 years ago. The main reasons were weather and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are manageable, gas is pretty good.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The public transit scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
