Job market in Lenexa for tech?

Curious what people think. Homes are going for about $368,800 on average. With a population of 57,986, Lenexa is a smaller city. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Does this match your experience?

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in Oak Park area are decent. Kids love it here.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The walkability is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. My neighborhood (East) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Salt Lake City, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Not a lot of cultural diversity.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. job market used to be much established but now it's pretty good.
