Planning a move to Lenoir City -neighborhoods?
Not sure if this has been asked before, but Born and raised here. Rent is about $913/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 59--F, so the weather is moderate. Poverty rate is 18.4%, which is higher than I expected. It's a a small town city with about 10,681 people. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Let me know your thoughts. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up.
