Career opportunities in Lewisburg, TN

Longtime lurker here, I'm a college student here and You can expect to pay around $859 for rent here. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Anyone in a similar situation? The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

I work in finance here and I genuinely enjoy living here. The job market for my field is hit or miss. Hope this helps!.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a marketing manager, 37, moved here 2 years ago from New York. I've lived in Sunset and North, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Great outdoor activities nearby
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Affordable housing options
4. The people are generally better than expected - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Not very walkable outside downtown
2. Chain restaurants dominate
3. The walkability situation is developing and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Sunset: Great for remote workers. pretty good vibes, walkable.
- North: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from New York, everything felt decent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are pricey. Gas is affordable. You can live comfortably on $60K-$140K here.

**Final verdict:**
Good luck with whatever you decide.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are challenging, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to LA it's excellent.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is surprisingly good in most areas.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is school system. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Worth doing your research before committing.
