Curious what people think. I grew up here but left for a while. Average temperature is around 45--F, so bundle up in winter. Rent is about $955/month for a decent place. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Thoughts? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The safety is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

My experience has been mostly positive. I have mixed feelings honestly. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, Feel free to reach out with questions..

Bought a house here in 2024 and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Property values have gone about the same since then.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.
I've been here 6 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is underrated.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The dating scene is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I love the pace of life here. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
