OK so Born and raised here. Rent is about $896/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $896 for rent here. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
