Hey everyone, I grew up here but left for a while. Homes are going for about $284,300 on average. The unemployment rate is 1.8%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Should I be concerned? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Bought a house here in 2020 and the quality of life is solid. Property values have gone about the same since then.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The healthcare is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are challenging, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much stable but now it's decent.
