Housing market in Lexington-Fayette urban county — is it worth buying?

Median home value here is around $272,100. Prices are reasonable compared to major metros. For those renting, typical rent is $1101.

Is now a good time to buy in Lexington-Fayette urban county? Or better to keep renting?

Looking for opinions from both homeowners and renters.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Eastside. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.

Weather is the biggest factor for us. Four seasons are nice, not too extreme either way.

Coming from LA, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are about the same.
