Job market in Lexington-Fayette urban county for tech?

Curious what people think. I relocated for work and Poverty rate is 9.4%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 57°F, so the weather is moderate. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What neighborhoods would you suggest? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I've lived in Downtown for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:

- Low crime in most neighborhoods

- Active local events and festivals

- The healthcare scene is hit or miss

The downsides:

- Traffic during rush hour is rough

- Summers can be brutally hot

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
