Lexington-Fayette urban county is underrated, change my mind
I keep seeing people overlook Lexington-Fayette urban county when talking about great places to live. With a population of 321,122, it's big enough to have everything you need but small enough to feel like a community. There are tons of parks and outdoor spaces. Weather is moderate — about 57F average.

As someone who moved here from LA, I can confirm most of this. The weather surprised me the most.

Rent tip: look for places in fall. Prices drop and there's more availability.

Respectfully disagree about the cost of living assessment. In my experience, it's been pretty safe in my area.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Maple Heights. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.
