Hey, I'm a teacher here and Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Crime rate is something to consider -Lexington sits at 50.3 per 100K. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Does this match your experience? Thanks in advance! I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is surprisingly good in most areas.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Happy to answer more specific questions..

My experience has been mostly positive. it's been a really good experience overall. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, Feel free to reach out with questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Greenfield. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in retail. If you're in education you might struggle.
People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Korean.
