Anyone regret moving to Lexington Park?

So, Been living here since 2019. Homes are going for about $294,500 on average. With a population of 13,419, Lexington Park is a small town. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What do you all think?

I've lived in Springfield for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Active local events and festivals
- The weather scene is improving

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are pretty good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Boston about 1 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good airport with direct flights
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are pricey, gas is solid.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cost of living, you'll love it. The community vibe is genuinely better than expected and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Westside) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
