Freelancing from Lexington Park -experience?

So, I'm single, late 30s, and The median home value here is around $294,500, which seems about average. Crime rate is something to consider -Lexington Park sits at 994.6 per 100K. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Would love some local perspective. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in North for 13 years. Moved from Baltimore for a fresh start. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is decent. We bought in 2023 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
manufacturing is strong here. real estate is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are pricey for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I'm still on the fence after all this time. The outdoor scene is improving - we have hiking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. North schools are improving. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Property taxes are high. Limited entertainment options. And school system can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 7/10. It's not for everyone but it works for us.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Weather-wise, the summers are hit or miss and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want healthcare, then yeah this place is great. But if healthcare matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Miami it's average.

I'm a chef and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. The community is challenging and there's always something going on.
