Is Lexington Park good for remote workers?

Hey everyone, I'm originally from Minneapolis and Poverty rate is 14.1%, which is around average. Homes are going for about $294,500 on average. Average temperature is around 58--F, so the weather is moderate. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What do you all think? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Uptown. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in government. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Came here for retirement and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The community vibe is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is nightlife. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.
