So, I'm a 51-year-old accountant and Crime rate is something to consider -Lexington sits at 324.9 per 100K. Median household income is $83,263, which feels pretty solid for the area. Average temperature is around 64--F, so the weather is moderate. You can expect to pay around $1,360 for rent here. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- The traffic scene is tough
The downsides:
- Dating scene is rough
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Bought a house here in 2022 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone about the same since then.
