Things that make Lexington unique

Hey, Just moved here 6 months ago and You can expect to pay around $758 for rent here. Median household income is $49,253, which feels on the lower side for the area. With a population of 7,943, Lexington is a small town. Crime rate is something to consider -Lexington sits at 582.7 per 100K. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Pros:
- Friendly people
- Close to nature
- Lots of new development
- Active local events
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Hot summers
- Rising rent prices
- Far from major airports
- Homelessness issues downtown
- Not enough green space
There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.
