What's it really like living in Lexington?
So, I grew up here but left for a while. Household incomes average around $89,598 in Lexington. With a population of 7,420, Lexington is a small town. It's a a small town city with about 7,420 people. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. What would you do? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
