Hi all, The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Am I wrong here? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Cedar Grove. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in consulting. If you're in marketing you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like seafood.
