Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a 49-year-old electrician and With a population of 30,446, Liberty is a smaller city. The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a nurse who relocated here from LA about 6 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Four distinct seasons
- Close to major attractions
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Urban sprawl is real
Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are competitive, gas is underrated.
Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
