Curious what people think. Rent is about $882/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 6.3%, which is concerning. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Chicago about 13 years ago. The main reasons were work and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are wild, gas is challenging.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Hope this helps!.
