Just moved to Lighthouse Point, any tips?

Hey everyone, Been living here since 2020. Homes are going for about $667,000 on average. Household incomes average around $92,268 in Lighthouse Point. It's a a small town city with about 10,463 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Lighthouse Point sits at 78.9 per 100K. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Does this match your experience? The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want food scene, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Moved here from Charlotte about 3 years ago. I genuinely enjoy living here. Still getting used to walkability but No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 2 years ago. The main reasons were family and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Low crime in most neighborhoods

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are established, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.
