Thinking about relocating to Lilburn from Pittsburgh
So, With a population of 14,939, Lilburn is a small town. Rent is about $1,479/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Anyone in a similar situation? Looking forward to hearing from you all. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value walkability, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely pretty good and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. My neighborhood (East) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Salt Lake City, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

The food scene here is hit or miss. Tons of great farm-to-table places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is improving in most areas.
