Hey everyone, Been living here since 2011. With a population of 35,304, Lima is a smaller city. Rent is about $865/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 21.2%, which is higher than I expected. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Is this normal for Lima? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
