Raising a family in Lincoln -thoughts?
Longtime lurker here, My family moved here when I was a kid. Median household income is $60,793, which feels about average for the area. Household incomes average around $60,793 in Lincoln. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

- Good internet infrastructure
Cons:
- Rising rent prices
- Boring for young people
- Far from major airports
- Not enough green space
What do you all think? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
