Longtime lurker here, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and With a population of 51,629, Lincoln is a smaller city. Median household income is $108,108, which feels pretty solid for the area. Household incomes average around $108,108 in Lincoln. Homes are going for about $628,500 on average. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Anyone in a similar situation? The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. Used to live on the Downtown side, now on the Westside side. Completely different vibe. it exceeded my expectations.

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..
