Raising a family in Lincoln -thoughts?

Anyone else feel this way? Homes are going for about $111,600 on average. Household incomes average around $54,390 in Lincoln. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Thanks in advance!

Moved here from Baltimore about 6 years ago. it was the best decision I ever made. Still getting used to walkability but Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've lived in West for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good healthcare facilities
- The healthcare scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited high-paying job options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for singles. Definitely worth checking out..

I work in finance here and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market for my field is decent. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Fairview for 10 years. Moved from Tampa for a fresh start. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is better than expected. We bought in 2017 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.

**Employment:**
legal is strong here. real estate is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's been a really good experience overall. The outdoor scene is hit or miss - we have hiking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Fairview schools are underrated. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited high-paying job options. Can feel isolated. And public transit can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 6/10. Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
