OK so You can expect to pay around $1,045 for rent here. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to New York it's pretty good.

Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. the quality of life is solid.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Midtown. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in marketing you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: decent. Tons of options if you like sushi.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Bought a house here in 2018 and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

I work in manufacturing here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market for my field is underrated. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Hot take but there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. I know a lot of people disagree but after 2 years here, that's my honest assessment.
