What's it really like living in Lincoln?

Born and raised here. Crime rate is something to consider — Lincoln sits at 383.0 per 100K. Average temperature is around 55°F, so expect cold winters. Homes are going for about $248,200 on average. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Am I overthinking this? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Used to live on the Eastside side, now on the Midtown side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. walkability used to be much reasonable but now it's challenging.

The food scene here is average. Tons of great sushi places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
