Remote worker thinking about Lincoln Park

Homes are going for about $117,400 on average. Median household income is $57,183, which feels about average for the area. With a population of 39,511, Lincoln Park is a smaller city. It's a a smaller city city with about 39,511 people. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Am I wrong here? The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Chicago about 10 years ago. The main reasons were work and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Urban sprawl is real

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are pricey, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
