OK so We're a young couple and It's a a small town city with about 13,179 people. The median home value here is around $475,400, which is pretty steep. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Would love some local perspective.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Raleigh about 7 years ago. The main reasons were family and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good healthcare facilities
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Can feel isolated
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are reasonable, gas is underrated.
Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Feel free to reach out with questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in East. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in retail. If you're in engineering you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: average. Tons of options if you like craft beer.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is safety. Other than that, Hope this helps!.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want community vibe, then yeah this place is great. But if safety matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Seattle about 6 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of new development happening
Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are competitive, gas is pretty good.
Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Feel free to reach out with questions..
