Rent in Lincolnwood getting crazy

Hey folks, My partner and I are Household incomes average around $107,950 in Lincolnwood. Median household income is $107,950, which feels pretty solid for the area. Rent is about $3,501/month for a decent place. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Is this normal for Lincolnwood? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Weather-wise, the summers are average and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.

Came here for work and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The job market is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
