Is Linden a good place to live?

Hey everyone, Median household income is $91,036, which feels pretty solid

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The housing market is honestly decent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is school system. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.

I work in government here and I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market for my field is excellent. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've lived in Springfield for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Four distinct seasons
- The walkability scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
