What surprised you most about Lindenwold?

Random thought, The median home value here is around $168,300, which is actually reasonable. You can expect to pay around $1,265 for rent here. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Charlotte about 9 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are stable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

As someone who grew up here, it's not perfect but it works for me. A lot has changed in the past few years though. outdoor recreation used to be much wild but now it's excellent.
