Day-to-day life in Lindon, UT

So, I work in hospitality and Rent is about $1,502/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. Median household income is $104,583, which feels pretty solid for the area. With a population of 11,594, Lindon is a small town. Crime rate is something to consider -Lindon sits at 74.5 per 100K. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Pros:
- Friendly people
- Low crime in most areas
- Strong sense of community
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons:
- Rising rent prices
- Not very walkable
- High property taxes
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Not enough green space

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is solid in most areas.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 7 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

I'm a marketing manager and I've found it exceeded my expectations. The community is tough and there's always something going on.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Springfield. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in government. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Lakewood. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in marketing. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Definitely worth checking out..
