Pros and cons of Linglestown after 3 years
First post here. It's a a small town city with about 6,747 people. Homes are going for about $242,800 on average. Median household income is $89,887, which feels pretty solid for the area. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
Pros:
- Great weather
- Lots of new development
- Good healthcare facilities
Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Hot summers
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Limited cultural events
- Homelessness issues downtown
What would you do? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
