Best and worst neighborhoods in Lino Lakes

I've been here for 7 years and It's a a small town city with about 21,847 people. You can expect to pay around $1,744 for rent here. Average temperature is around 47--F, so expect cold winters. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Friendly people
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Hot summers
- Rising rent prices
- Chain restaurants dominate
Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
